Heat transfer performance of nanofluids in heat exchanger: a review

Energy is a key aspect of any country’s economic development. Improving heat transfer performance leads to saving energy. Nanotechnology has role play in optimizing exchangers. Fluids containing nanosized particles are called nanofluids. Nanofluids have higher thermal conductivity than typical liquids. This paper outlines current research on convective performance, thermophysical properties, particle size, and volume concentration effects nanofluid studies. M easurement m ethods f ort h ermal correlations used by earlier researchers determine also encompassed. The main applications nanofluids as liibricants nd radiator systems improve the efficiency he at removal fr om ve hicle en gines ha al so be emphasized. Results suggest that using larger size some drawbacks include sedimentation, clogging, erosion, stability, increasing pressure drop. Enhancing with optimum concentration. exchange one possible ways reduce energy consumption. need for required. Problem corrosion, erosion arrived nanoparticles nanofluid.
